It is my pleasure to extend greetings and a warm welcome on behalf of the citizens of Houston, Texas to the participants of the U.S. National Martial Arts tournament hosted by the U.S.A. Chen Tai Federation; we hope you enjoy your stay. Houston is grateful for the honor to host this special event and the chance to showcase our great city.

Tai Chi has become a favorite form of exercise for many of the elderly citizens of my district. The benefits are too numerous to name, but they have improved the quality of life for some of our most precious jewels. I praise the USA Chen Tai Chi Federation and the U.S.A. Wushu-Kungfu Federation, Inc. for promoting a healthy lifestyle while also showcasing spirited competition.
