纽 约 中 国 芭 蕾 京 剧 团
Les Ballets de I' Opera Chinois de New York, Inc.

纽约中国“纽约中国芭蕾京剧团”原名“丝绸芭蕾”成立于1983 年。1995 年为“纽约中国芭蕾舞团”，2006年5月改名为“纽约中国芭蕾京剧团”。我团的芭蕾舞演员来自纽约各著名团体和学校的专业演员。如: N.Y. City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, School of American Ballet, Jeffery Ballet School 等。京剧演员是从中国各省市来的京剧专业演员。改名的原因是为了更好的发展中国芭蕾舞，希望可以把西方古典芭蕾和中国传统京剧很好的结合起来。为中国新文化走出一条创新的道路。

团长陈敏是原北京中央芭蕾舞团的编导,于1981 年来美并一直从事芭蕾创作,其创作的作品包括“未来”(1978年在北京获得英国著名舞蹈家玛歌芳婷的高度赞赏)，著名芭蕾舞剧“敦煌梦”(1994 年由莫斯科国家芭蕾舞团首演,曾获得欧亚报纸和观众的一致好评)。2006 年新公演的京剧芭蕾“盘丝洞”，是第一次把芭蕾和京剧结合的大胆创新。音乐采用了俄国著名作曲家的名曲，舞蹈运用了古典芭蕾的优美动作和中国京剧传统的毯子功及把子艺术。9 月16 日于炮台公园的文化中国艺术节首次演出获得中外观众的一致赞扬。10 月28 日于剧场正式公演。刘碧伟总领事，翟德玉文化参赞及各位领导前往观看，美国中文电视台给与新文报导，各大报纸也鼓励和支持。这一切都大大鼓励了我团继续努力和奋斗。尤其2007 年1 月20 日我们能来到休斯顿春节晚会演出京剧“盘丝洞”,特别要感谢房利副总领事及申远方小姐的盛情邀请。希望休斯顿的中外观众能享受这个创新节目，并提出宝贵的意见。

Chen Min Lipman – Resume

Chen Min Lipman is a graduate of the Beijing Ballet Academy. She studied the Vaganova method under Kirov master teacher Peter Gusev and was a member of the Beijing Central Ballet for 18 years as a leading dancer and choreographer.

Chen Min’s first choreographic piece in 1978 received acclaim from Dame Margot Fonteyn. In the past 24 years she has choreographed over 40 ballets, including a piece represented at me International Ballet Competition in Osaka, Japan. When Chen Min came to the U.S. in 1981, she attended the Martha Graham, Julliard and Jeffrey Schools. With the support of the Jeffrey School, she formed her own ballet company-The Silk Ballet. Chen Min has worked with various companies - the National Ballet of Canada, the Jeffrey Concert Group, Ottawa Ballet, Vancouver Goh Ballet and the Hong Kong Ballet–in 1994, Chen Min set a full-length work for the Russian State Ballet in Moscow.

Chen Min's work has been widely broadcast on television, including Beijing TV, WOED (Pittsburgh) and in Taiwan. Her choreographic work has received good reviews in Asia, North America and Europe. Chen Min also designs her own sets and costumes.

As an experienced teacher, Chen Min has taught for British Columbia Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Ohio Ballet Met, Les Ballet Jazz of Montreal, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, the Cleveland Ballet School, Ballet West School in Utah, SUNY Buffalo, Carnegie Mellon University, Point Park College in Pittsburgh, and Bolshoi Ballet Academy summer school in Norway.

Currently, Chen Min is living in New York, teaching Ballet at “Mary Mount Manhattan College,” “Steps” and “Alvin Alley School”. From Fall 2003 until Spring 2006, Chen Min Lipman taught ballet at the Ailey School and the Fordham University BFA Dance Program.

唐僧-周龙塞Alan Chon

周龙塞先生是一位秀的曲表演家。曾于1975 年就参加邵氏拍摄的电影“盘丝洞”扮演孙悟空角色。周先生一生中扮演多种剧种的不同角色,如：“红楼梦”中的贾宝玉；“霸王别姬”中的虞姬；“大登殿”；“铁弓缘”；“王老虎抢亲”；“王熙凤大闹宁国府”等等。

周龙先生是一位杰出的社会活动家。在纽约于1975 年创办了“美华艺术协会”。40 余年活跃于纽约文化艺术界，最著名的活动如每年夏季的林肯中心户外艺术演出。这次我团应邀赴Houston2007 年春节晚会演出京剧芭蕾“盘丝洞”中孙悟空的服奘是周先生珍藏的中国京剧猴王李万春先生的戏装。

蜘蛛精－童小苓Charlene Shan

童小苓小姐是最初的蜘蛛精角色，参加了炮台公园9/16/06 演出。10/28/06 纽约剧场首演再演及这次 Houston 2007 年春节演出。

Tong Xiaoling, Graduated from the Shanghai School of Drama in 1981. Her mother Tong Zhiling was an internationally famous Chinese opera legend. From a Peking Opera family, whose brilliant creative performing style is honored as the “Tong Style” Charlene Tong has continued her mother’s inspiration to continuously improve and create new aspects in her stage characters. She has always received critical acclaim in China and the U.S. Charlene Tong has performed in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Europe and throughout the United States. She has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and other venues in New York City where she now resides and somehow balances her Successful career as a fashion designer. She is devoted to Chinese opera and is dedicated to introduce this art from to American audiences. She often performs in college, high schools and primary schools. She is the president of institute of Chinese Opera, a very active Chinese Opera associate group in New York made up of professional and amateur Chinese Opera lovers. They perform in the New York City metropolitan area.

沙和尚－王玉清Wang Yuqing

王先生是中国京剧院功武花脸和架子花脸。王玉清身段稳重，工架，当年一出“火烧余洪” 在上海红及一时。其翻，打，跌，扑，赢得满堂叫好。至今上海观众记意犹新。来美后经常活跃在舞台上。王先生是我团的京剧顾问。

Wang Yuqing is a first rate Peking Opera performer from China. In 1996 he graduated from the Hebei Arts Academy and became a principal performer at the Hebei Peking Opera Theater in the same year. 猪八戒－刘庆先Liu Qingxian

刘庆先先生是中国一级京剧演员，他是北京京剧院的台柱之一。刘庆先在北京市戏曲学校学习期间深得著名表演艺术家袁世海先生喜爱，袁先生亲授他《连环套》、《霸王别姬》、《赵氏孤儿》及《将相和》等剧目。1985 年毕业后拜袁世海先生为师又学习了《群英会》的曹操、《野猪林》的鲁智深、《古城会》的张飞等。曾以《李逵探母》一剧获“全国中青年戏曲演员最佳表演奖”。

Liu Qingxian is a Grade–A national artist. He was born in a theatrical family of Peking Opera professionals. He studied Peking Opera performance at Peking Opera Institute and staged with many famous Peking Opera artists, he specializes in “painted face” roles, served as a leading star in “Double Trap” and “River mouth of Jiujiang.” He has toured to U.S, Japan, England and other Europe countries and won great acclaims.

杜鹃山 Dujuan Mountain

由童小苓演唱的现代京剧。

Ke Xiang, a leader of peasant revolt, is later captured on the way to the Dujuan Mountain on a mission to transform the peasants' selfdefense corps, but succored by the peasant self-defense corps. She propagates the policy and constantly expands the arms. The chieftain of landlord arms colludes the traitor of the peasant self-defense corps, catches the adoptive mother of the revolt leader Lei Gang to lure him down the mountain. Lei does not listen to Ke’s advice and is captured in the attempt to rescue his mother. Ke leads the dagger squad and rescued Lei and his mother, and driven traitors out. She has successfully completed her mission.

大型舞蹈“热土鼓情”是一个具有独特民族风格的；反映浓浓乡土气息的；激情热烈鼓点的；粗犷，豪爽中带有轻盈，柔美舞蹈动作的民族舞。舞蹈由曾经荣获华阜小姐的胡笳，新艺磁场的张晓岚，知青联谊会的葛巍利等 和休斯顿地区海峡两岸的侨界舞蹈爱好者共同演出的节目。它将给休斯顿地区的侨胞们带来节日的欢乐气氛。以此鼓励和激勉大家在新的一年开始之即，用崭新的面貌去迎接金猪年的到来。

Synopsis of “Drum Dancing in the Hot Land” Large-Scale Dance This large-scale dance has a unique Chinese national style; it strongly reflects China's far southwest provincial region with its rhythmic warm drums and simple, yet lithe and beautiful gently-moving folk dance.

This dance will have former "Miss China town" Hu Jia, Zhang XiaoLan from "Xin Yi Ci Chang," and Ge Wei Li from "Zhi Qi Association" with other Houston-based lovers of dance from across Taiwan and China perform together.

It will bring fellow countrymen living abroad in the Houston area a holiday spirit and happy atmosphere. This dance encourages everyone to start a new year with strong spirit and to greet the appearance of the year of "Jin Zhu Nian."

沈敏生舞蹈学校 - 飛鬃马

沈敏生女士是一位资深舞蹈教师，曾任上海戏剧学院古典舞教师，上海歌劇舞劇院芭蕾教师和上海舞蹈学校民族舞教师。1983 年她在美國榮獲“Dance Fever” 比賽美南冠軍，是该项比赛中唯一奪冠的華人。在长达三十年的教学生涯中，沈老师培養出多位國家級的优秀舞蹈演員，硕果累累，桃李满天下。

学校的另一位教师兼艺术总监叶继莹小姐，从小就在休斯顿芭蕾舞团的学校学习，畢业于舞蹈系在全美名列前茅的“南美以美”大学，主修芭蕾，现代舞与爵士舞，具有充实的理论知识与深厚的艺术功底。

1984 年，沈老师在休士頓創辦了舞蹈学校。学校很快以其出色的教育质量、完善的规模设施、强大的师资阵容和系统全面的课程设置而远近闻名。20 多年来，学校培养了數千名具有優美典雅氣質和丰富藝術涵養的學生，其中有多位成为全美和休士顿的华埠小姐。沈敏生舞蹈学校的學生參加美国“明星之路” 、“我愛舞蹈”、“卡爾全國舞蹈比賽” 等众多舞蹈竞赛，获得金牌不勝枚舉。

为了不断提高教学质量，百尺竿头更进一步，沈敏生舞蹈学校最近特地从上海舞蹈学院聘请了舞蹈硕士、获2004 年中国舞蹈比赛金奖的优秀青年教师邢桑来校教学与指导，并开设独舞课程。該校今后将定期邀请中国优秀舞蹈家前来学校担任舞蹈教师，以期加强国际间的艺术交流，将最先进的舞蹈艺术教给学生。

Mitsi Dancing School

Mitsi Dancing School was established in 1984 and has grown to be the most professional and versatile dance school in the greater Houston area. The school offers the highest quality of classes in classical ballet, authentic Chinese folk and classical dance, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and tap for ages 3 to adults. This school has been providing students with best training from the most up-to-date and knowledgeable faculty, most professional performance experiences, and the respect for the art of dance as well as our community through numerous cultural exchange. for the past 23 years, Mitsi Dancing School's students of all ages have received numerous national and international awards and recognitions for their outstanding performance and technique in Chinese and western dances.

Mitsi Dancing School is operated by Mitsi Shen, Director, and Janie Yao, Director of Dance of Asian America. Mitsi Shen graduated with top honor from the Beijing Dance Academy and was a much-respected teacher of the Shanghai Dance Academy. In 1983, Ms. Shen was the national Dance Fever Champion for her presentation of western dance. Janie Yao trained at the Houston Ballet and received a Dance Performance degree in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Choreography from the Southern Methodist University. Ms. Yao is also a certified teacher of the Syllabus for Graded Examination on Chinese dance. Dance of Asian America is a professional non-profit cultural exchange organization that reaches over 40,000 people a year in the Houston area and beyond. Dance of Asian America holds professional high caliber performances twice a year at Miller Outdoor Theatre and Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Mitsi Dancing School’s advance students, because of their professional training in dance, are company dancers of Dance of Asian America. Dance of Asian America dancers receive free dance wear, free dance costumes, free performance opportunities at Houston’s prestigious theaters, and most importantly free professional dance training by the best artists from the around the world.

Mitsi Dancing School and Dance of Asian America has a close cultural exchange relationship with the Shanghai Dance Academy so all the students from our school can benefit by learning from the best dancers China has to offer. Our current artist in resident is Xing Sang who graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy with 1st and 2nd Place Scholarships. He received his masters from the Shanghai Dance Academy and is currently an outstanding performer of the Shanghai Dance Troupe and a much-respected teacher of the Shanghai Dance Academy.

邢桑 - 轻青 Let the Spirit Fly

让心灵放飞，伴着清风飞舞；让心灵放飞，伴着流云歌唱；随遇而安、融入自然，心从此不再受羁绊。该作品通过肢体动作的阴阳对比和势转流动，传达出中国传统文化中追求淡雅平静闲适生活的哲思理趣。

邢桑是上海戏剧学院古典舞教师，他师从著名舞蹈家，基本功扎实，演出剧目丰富。他曾获得2001 年全国桃李杯二等奖，2004 年全国舞蹈比赛金奖，2005 年上海新作品舞蹈比赛一等奖。今年應沈敏生舞蹈學校和亞美舞蹈團的邀請, 來休市演出並在沈敏生舞蹈學校擔任教師

王维国 - 母亲

抒情男高音歌唱家王维国，毕业于美国休斯敦大学音乐学院。师从著名声乐大师Mr.Steven Smith and Mr. Aldo Di Tullio。

王维国的演唱充满着华丽的古典气息，声音辉煌明亮，吐字清晰，饱含深情，恰如其分地演绎作品，又充分的体现了自己的风格。在其擅长的歌剧演唱中，王维国充分的发挥了他多年的丰富表演功底，高音部分应用自如，如流水般挥洒而至，洋溢着弦乐之大气，还带有一种优美柔和的音调以及糅合古典与浪漫的激情。充分表现出音乐整体的意图和更广阔的内涵，又富戏剧力量。他的艺术才华，独具一格的宛如天籁的高音为国际著名声乐大师 - Mr. Aldo Di Tullio 称之“上帝的礼物 ”。

王维国自幼接受正规的钢琴, 芭蕾舞, 和声乐的训练。后考入中国河南歌剧舞剧院，成为中国河南歌剧舞剧院舞蹈和歌剧的主要演员。1988 年他以优异的成绩取得奖学金，赴美国圣路易斯音乐学院学习，后又随 Mr. Steven Smith 到休斯敦大学音乐学院，在休斯敦大学学习期间又考入休斯敦大歌剧院。毕业后，王维国赴纽约师从国际著名声乐大师 Mr. Aldo Di Tullio。他先后就职于众多美国大歌剧院，任歌剧及独唱演员。参加过几十部歌剧和音乐会的演出。并得与世界著名歌唱家 – 多明戈，伊娃玛桐，弗蕾明等同台演出。

王维国在休斯敦建立了王维国音乐室 (wwgmusicstudio.tripod.com) ，亲自担任声乐教学。王维国以他独特的教学方法，训练和培养了众多的美声，民歌各类声乐音乐人才，现在大多已活跃在音乐舞台上。

王维国于2004 年在休斯敦，为中国人活动中心捐款，举办了独唱音乐会; 2005 年在中国河南省举办了故乡情独唱音乐会; 2006 年在中国四川音乐学院举办了独唱音乐会。

近年来，王维国多次应邀到中国各地参加演唱会和独唱音乐会。深受中国音乐与艺术界高度赞赏和好评。并在大学及音乐学院举办声乐讲座。

Mr. Wang Weiguo graduated from School of Music of University of Houston, under well-known Vocal Professor Steven Smith and Great Vocal Master Aldo Di Tullio. Mr. Wang’s beautiful and bright voice is full of dramatic, magnificent and penetrating color, even applauded by Mr. Aldo Di Tullio as “A gift from God”. As a professional opera singer, he performed at numerous American opera houses.

Mr. Wang founded “Wang Wei Guo Music Studio”, and teaches vocal and piano. He has garnered music and vocal world acclaim for offering something completely unique: Italian belt Cando technique. It is a quality that comes cross diversity of his repertoire – which includes Chinese traditional folk song, belt Cando and even contemporary songs.

Mr. Wang successfully gave a recital for donation to the Houston Chinese Activity Center, at Houston in 2004, and recitals at Henan Province Opera House in 2005 and at Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2006.

During recent years, Mr. Wang has been invited to perform recitals in many cities in China. He also gives vocal technique lectures in many universities and music schools. He has received widespread acclaim from critics and audience alike in China.

“Lee's” hummer shows on Houston Chinese New Year Party have been four years. They always be dressed up as an old couple but this time they will try some thing new.

新藝磁場團員 - 張筱籣,馮怡雯與季玉珍。我們是一群來自臺灣的民歌愛好者，組團已有五年之久。我們堅信，音樂是一種世界語言。透過優美的旋律，我們願意向大家介紹美麗的家園；伸出友誼的雙手，我們也希望認識更多愛好音樂的朋友。

红扇舞蹈团 - 走在山水间

“红扇舞蹈团”是目前休斯顿地区在艺术编排和表演上具有强大实力和庞大阵容，并面向大众、广泛吸引热爱舞蹈者的成人舞蹈团。在团长及舞蹈总指导陶斐的带领下，朝气蓬勃、积极奉献，努力独创自己的风格，舞蹈多以大型歌舞为主，以人多气势大为优势，加上精心的选材、震撼的音乐、激情的舞蹈，表现出浓浓的中国情，在每年国庆节和春节的大型演出中都给观众留下了深刻的印象，如2004 年演出的“西部放歌”、“红色娘子军”和“激情岁月”，2005 年演出的“溜溜的康定，溜溜的情”和“踏歌起舞”，尤其是2006 年2 月27 日在丰田中心进行NBA 比赛的中场，成功地表演了大型歌舞“大地飞歌”，赢得了上万名中外观众的热烈掌声，这是中国的红扇首次闪亮登场在美国的舞台上。

Red Fan Dance Group - Walking Between the Mountain and River

The "Red Fan Dance Group," the most active, well-known, and fastest-growing adult dance group in the City of Houston, attracts large numbers of talented dancers with huge battle formations in artistic arrangements and performances.

Under Tao Fei, who is both their leader and instructor, careful selections of dynamic music, active dance styles and meticulous planning are made.

The group is always full of vigor and vitality, creating original large-scale dance styles to spread Chinese culture within the community.

The "Red Fan Dance Group" has performed in many events and shows and has made remarkable contributions to Chinese communities.

Annually, during China National Day and the Spring Festival, meaningful and impressive performances are made. From 2004 to 2005 the group performed "West Sings in a Loud Voice," "The Red Detachment of Women," "The Fervent Year," "Kangting Sentiment;" among others. On February 27, 2006, the NBA's Houston Rockets invited the "Red Fan Dance Group" to perform during the half-time show at the Toyota Center. The group successfully performed the large-scale dance, "Song Flying Around The Earth," and received the warm applause of thousands; it was China's red fan's first shining moment on an American stage.

The "Red Fan Dance Group" will continue to disseminate Chinese culture through new performances of high-quality dancing in every endeavor. In addition, China's red fan will be promoted in national and international venues.

周洁、徐利舞蹈学校 - 俏夕阳

1997 年，旅居美國的中國著名舞蹈家周潔和徐利，憑著一顆至美之心，在大洋彼岸的美國名城休士頓，創辦了周潔、徐利舞蹈學校（J & L Dance School）。出色的教學和傑出的文化傳播，使周潔、徐利舞蹈學校成為休士頓最好的華人舞蹈學校，也是全美最成功、發展最快的華人舞蹈學校之一。

建校九年來，师生們參加上千場重大演出，並應邀為美國職業籃球賽（NBA）作中場演出。1998 年，轟動全球的迪士尼動畫片「花木蘭」上演之時，學校應邀為該片首映式作隆重獻演。1999 年5 月，中美關係功臣基辛格博士頒發具盛望的“馬可波羅”獎的典禮上，本校應邀作專場表演，受到了中美各界人士的高度讚賞。

在周潔、徐利及多位老師的推動下，本校於1999 年成為美國第一所獲得北京舞蹈學院考試資格的舞蹈學校，并已成功地舉辦了七屆學生考級。參加考試的學生，均獲得北京舞蹈學院頒發的正式考級證書。此證書在學生申請大學之時，可列為才藝專長，提供錄取優勢。本校并获美国主要学区认可，学生所修舞蹈課程的時數及成績，可抵為中学體育課學分。

本校培養的學生胡笳在中國第六屆全國“桃李杯”舞蹈比賽中，成為唯一進入決賽的海外選手，獲得了“評委會特別獎”。胡笳並以自編自演的現代舞“書法”，於2004 年參加全美藝術才藝競賽，在六千多位選手中奪得亞軍。本校學生汪立平，馮心悅，顧葦華益，周玨瑩，代表學校參加2004 年在中國舉辦的國際分級舞蹈大賽，獲得銀獎和最佳表演獎。思欣也在澳門舉行的舞蹈大賽中摘下金蓮花獎第一名。学生傅立珊以胡笳创作的现代舞“风之韵”获2006 上海一颗红星艺术选拔赛金奖，年仅十岁的刘晓薇也在同一比赛中获银奖。學生張樂，曾曉因，胡笳，陈蔚嘉還分別於2002, 2003, 2005 及2006 年，奪得休士頓華埠小姐的后冠。

九年裡，學校多次成功地在暑期中舉辦“中國之旅”夏令營，帶著美國生長的孩子們回國，參加“上海國際兒童藝術節”開幕式演出，並與上海電視臺“小熒星藝術團”聯合作專場表演，極獲好評。中央電視臺，北京電視臺，上海電視臺，北京晚報，新民晚報，解放日報，世界日報及美南新聞等主要媒體，都作了專訪和專題報導。

為了使學生們達到更好的演出水準，學校又在2001 年成立舞蹈團，加強訓練學生的舞蹈技巧及表演素質。

近年來，在休士頓各種社團的大型活動中，經常可以見到舞蹈團學生的精彩演出。教学上精益求精，艺术上不断超越和更新的理念在學校的建校宗旨中表現無遺：「希望扶持您的孩子走向成功」。学校除了聘請國內一級師資教學舞蹈之外，更注重培養每個孩子的體態，氣質與自信。透過学习舞蹈，通過文化交流，以舞蹈為軸，為您的孩子開創一片天空。

舞蹈俏夕阳是2006年中国中央电视台春节联欢晚会的精品节目。它通过以山西皮影戏的动作特点为创作元素，再通过表演者们夸张，热情，形象的表演，体现了随着祖国的强盛，老年人的生活更加富有朝气，一派喜乐融融的景象。

周洁。徐利舞蹈学校成人班的舞蹈表演，可称为是该舞蹈学校一道亮丽的风景线。多年来，她们凭着对舞蹈艺术的执着追求，付出了辛勤和汗水。这次的表演，年龄最大的有:64岁，年龄最小的不到6岁。她们将带给大家无限的精彩和喜乐!

J&L Dance School

J&L Dance School was co-founded by prominent dancers Zhou Jie and Xu Li in Houston, Texas on August 1997. The school boasts excellent teaching methods and helps to spread Chinese culture within the community. J&L Dance School is the best Chinese dance school in the city of Houston and one of the most successful and fastest growing dance schools in the US.

Over the past nine years since its founding, J&L Dance School has performed in thousand major events and shows in America and China, including the NBA Houston Rockets half time show. In 1998, the school performed at the Houston premiere of the Disney movie “Mulan” In 1999, the school performed at the Marco Polo Medal presentation to Dr. Henry Kissinger.

J&L Dance School is the first certified dance school in the US with the Certification of Chinese Dance Proficiency by the Beijing Dance Academy. For the past seven years, every student has passed the annual certification examination given by the Beijing Dance Academy.

The awarded certificate to students’ excellent achievement in dance earns them additional advantage in applying for college. The school dance hours and grades are accredited for high school P.E. credits of major school districts.

J&L student Jia Hu competed in the National Peach Cup dance competition in China, July of 2000, and became the first oversea dancer to ever receive a Special Performance Award. In 2004, Jia choreographed her own dance “Calligraphy" and won the 2nd Place in Arts Recognition and Talent Search Contest among over 6000 contestants. Kelley Wang, Connie Feng, Cindy Gu and Jenny Zhou competed in the International Classified Dance Contest in July 2004 in Fu-Zhou, China and won Silver Award and the Best Performance Award. In 2005, Cici Si won first place Golden Lotus Award in a dance competition held in Macaw, China. This summer, Helen Fu and Lydia Liu won the gold and silver medals in 2006 Shanghai “A Red Star” competition. Students Zhang Le, Zheng Xiao Ying, Jia Hu, and Connie Chen were crowned Miss Chinatown Houston in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 respectively. For the past seven years, J&L Dance School has offered summer camps in China to students where they received special dance lessons. Students learn Chinese culture, and performed with new friends they met in China.

J&L Dance School has formed a few dance companies to enhance the technical dance skills and stage performance abilities of the students. The dance companies perform at the level of professionalism and excellence, and are very popular and well known in Texas communities.

Teachers Zhou Jie and Xu Li founded the school with a vision which is to help students excel in dance and succeed in every endeavor.

They recruit teachers from among the best dancers in China to offer First class dance curriculum. In addition, they promote confidence, dignity, and class. Through various performances and cultural exchange programs, students dance to express themselves as well as develop their potential for a bright future.

A group of amateur singers are very popular among our Houston community. They have performed many times for events like Chinese

Spring Festival Celebration, National Day Celebration and Other major holiday activities. Their musical, rich and unique performing style had won them praises and applauding. Accompanied by beautiful melodies, they have been singing the songs that can found echoes from the heart of the audiences.

红娘 – The Red Maid

唐贞元年间，在书生张珙与崔相国女儿莺莺之间相爱成亲的故事中，红娘扮演了一位聪明可爱的"媒人"角色。

A love story between a young scholar and the governor's daughter whose servant girl called "The Red Maid" acts as the matchmaker.

Performer Li Li Yang is formerly a renowned artist with Tianjin Peking Opera Troupe, Ms. Li Li Yang won many China national rewards for her beautiful singing and acting. Ms. Yang has proved to be an actress with extraordinary ability.

腾龙教育学院 - 春天在哪里

合唱团成立于2004 年秋季。长期活跃在休斯顿社区舞台。2005年在STAFFORD CENTER 举行的纪念抗战胜利60 周年的黄河大合唱中，表演了童生合唱“歌唱二小放牛郎”并获得巨大成功。郭思嘉老师为该团的团长兼指挥。

Talent Academy Chorus was established in 2004. It has been active in Houston area. In 2005, it successfully performed “Er Xiao, the bull keeper” in Yellow River Chorus during the celebration of 60th anniversary of the victory of Anti-Japanese War and received great success. The conductor of the Talent Academy Chorus is Miss Sijia Guo.

合唱《祖国颂》和休斯顿《夕阳红俱乐部合唱组》

中国人活动中心夕阳红俱乐部的成员是休斯顿地区来自两岸三地的华人华侨老人，年岁都在60 岁以上。老人们在俱乐部里不仅能相互聊天，说说亲切温暖的中国话，还能唱歌、跳舞、下棋、打牌、学太极拳，参加华侨社团的各项活动，在身心得到充分放松的同时，学到更多的知识，享受到更多的乐趣，真正做到老有所乐，老有所学，老有所为，身心健康，益寿延年。老人们虽然侨居美国，但心却紧紧地联系着中国--我们的祖国。祖国日益繁荣强大，老人们无不兴高采烈，欢欣鼓舞。在此欢度我们的民族传统佳节--春节之际，夕阳红俱乐部合唱组以饱满的激情，献上一曲《祖国颂》表示祝贺！参加合唱组的老人最小的 63 岁，最大的82 岁。

The Senior Citizen Club (SCC), or called Xi-Yang-Hong Club, is a program initiated in June 18, 2005 by Houston Chinese Civic Center (CCC), aiming to serve the Chinese seniors in Houston area. SCC opens every Saturday with a lot of specific activities served to the seniors including dancing, physical exercise, chess, English as a Second Language (ESL) training, etc. There are currently 284 registered members. The seniors' chorus, aging from 63 to 82, is proud of joining the celebration of the lunar Chinese New Year and showing their love to China through the song "Caroling China".

福建同鄉會 - 外婆的澎湖湾

晚風輕拂著澎湖灣/白浪逐沙灘/沒有椰林醉斜陽/只是一片海藍藍……

潘安邦是誰？“台灣民歌王”。“澎湖”是他的家鄉，《外婆的澎湖灣》是潘安邦創作給自己外婆的動情之作。

潘安邦是上個世紀70 年代末，寶島台灣歌壇“民歌運動”最活躍的歌手之一。他的歌曲所表達的感覺清新脫俗，飄逸瀟灑，讓人如沐春風。正是因為這種清新的曲風、朗朗上口的歌詞讓這首歌曲廣為流傳。

潘安邦曾被邀請到1989 年中央電視臺春節聯歡晚會上演唱《外婆的澎湖灣》和《跟著感覺走》，從此有華人居住的地方，都記住了這個名字——潘安邦，都記住了中國有個澎湖，澎湖灣有一位慈祥的外婆。

四川海外发展促进会 - 回四川

四川号称天府之国，独特的巴蜀文化源远流长，峨嵋天下秀，青城天下幽，养育了无数的英雄儿女。这首“回四川”表现了一个离家多年的边防军人，满怀着对故乡的热爱和对亲人的深情，回到家乡，看到那青山绿水和日新月异的新面貌，禁不住心中的激动，唱出了“我的那个四川(哟)好风光” 。这首歌曲幽默诙谐，充满了浓郁的川音乡情。本节目由休斯顿四川同乡会演出，男高音领唱：唐愉拉，表演者：张 清，李建平，龙国锦，王 平， 张丽莉，罗发成，廖贻助, 刘 斌，陈忠明，肖建国等。

在希望的田野上

四十年前，这些人们用他们无悔的青春年华辛勤地耕耘在中国的大地上。无论是在“西村纺花”，还是在“东港撒网”，无论是在“北疆播种”，还是在“南国打场”，蹉跎岁月磨练了他们的铁骨柔肠。希望就从这块土地上升起。

长长的人生道上，他们又先后远渡重洋，来到异国他乡，在这金色的岁月里激流勇进在美利坚这块神秘而陌生的土地上。无论是高科技界的博士，还是餐饮业的服务员，无论是公司的白领，还是普通的生意人，生活和工作的高压铸就了他们的铁脊钢梁，希望又在这块土地上升华。

In the Fields of Hope

Forty years ago, these zhiqing devoted their most precious youth working in the vast countryside of China. Those tough years tempered their bones and tendered their hearts. The seed of hope germinated there!

During the long journey of life, theses same zhiqing crossed the vast seas and oceans and arrived in this unfamiliar and mysterious land call the U. S. A. The pressures of life and work built their character. The flower of hope bears fruits here!

Transcending time and space, life has brought them together on this stage. In their hearts, they are singing the same nostalgic song--“In the Fields of Hope”!
