|Galveston, Texas (July 1, 2017) – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Moody Gardens as preparations are underway for this year’s holiday attractions.|
Prepare for a spectacular journey through the wonders of rainforests from around the world this holiday season as Moody Gardens debuts ICE LAND Rainforest Holiday.
Take in monkeys, beautiful birds, colorful butterflies, orchids and so much more as leaf cutter ants carry Christmas lights and other decorations to a magical place – all hand-carved from ice.
In honor of ICE LAND’s new theme, the Rainforest Pyramid exit has taken on a holiday theme for the entire month of July.
ICE LAND Rainforest Holiday is open Nov. 11, 2017-Jan. 7, 2018 and is just one of eight holiday attractions, all offered at Moody Gardens. Other holiday attractions include Festival of Lights, Cirque Joyeux Noel, Rudolph 4D, 3D films, ice skating, an Arctic Slide and train rides, plus live entertainment and great food.
Go behind the scenes of ICE LAND Rainforest Holiday with the Ice Carver VIP Experience. This exclusive tour gives guests a chance to see the artists at work as they create these magnificent, towering ice sculptures, resulting in the coolest holiday attraction in the Southwest.
This skilled team of master ice carvers from Harbin, China will take guests on a whole new level of cool with a journey through the rainforests of the world, including a giant ice slide that takes guests from the tree tops through to the forest floor, ancient ruins and rivers edge.
And, don’t miss out on Shivers Ice Bar, featuring ultra-cool holiday spirits.
Stroll through a mile-long trail with more than one million lights and lighted scenes this year at Festival of Lights. This holiday tradition gives guests amazing views of Galveston Bay. Take a spin around the area’s only outdoor skating rink and enjoy concession areas with hot chocolate and festive food, holiday buffets, live entertainment and more.
Lone Star Circus Cirque Joyeux Noel Dinner and Show returns this year Dec. 15-25 with an all-new exhilarating and joyous celebration of the holiday season with a mix of food, circus and music.
